Solium is a furniture design piece inspired by the solar system. The revolving lounge chair is constructed of walnut disks and maple/oak dowels.
Inspiration for this piece had come from themes I had taken away from the title track of Jimi Hendrix's album Axis: Bold as Love. The song led me to think a lot about space, revolution, and the solar system. From this point, I began to sketch and ideate.
